All Is One! Empowering Young Women of Color (AIO)

All Is One! Empowering Young Women of Color (AIO) is a campus organization started at Lawrence University by Beta Psi Nu as a means of affecting change on campus and carrying out the sorority's mission prior to campus recognization.

Established in the Spring of 2013, led by Brienne Colston (Class of 2015) and Brittni Adekoya (Class of 2016), A.I.O has worked to create spaces for women of Color and allies at Lawrence University with weekly meetings and events such as sexual health fairs, discussion panels, and bonding events.

The purpose of A.I.O. is to help bring attention and awareness to young women of color on campus. We strive to unite these women on campus to have a greater voice and display the diversity that is present. We want to promote the love, togetherness, and support women should have for each other.

A.I.O. hosts The Annual People of Color (POC) Empowerment Week. It is held in the last week of February. POC empowerment week is dedicated to a deeper understanding and celebration of intersectional identities of POC. In past years A.I.O has collaborated with other student organizations such as Black Student Union, Lawrence University Native American Organization, LUCC Resident Life Committee, and Committee of Diversity Affairs, at Lawrence University (CODA) to fund and organize the week's events. Past speakers have included: Mia Mckenzie, Rosa Clemente, LC Johnson, Dark Matter, Kai Davis, Dr. Sasānēhsaeh Pyawasay, and Dr.Joy DeGruy.

The current president of the group is Beta Psi Nu member and Lawrence University senior Krystin Williams.
